Without a doubt one of the best feijoada in Rio de Janeiro. Very well prepared, delicious ingredients just right, high-quality beans tasty and great accompaniments. This is the simple description of feijoada served in the Academia da Cachaça.

Inaugurated in 1985, the Academia da Cachaça was designed to provide a space where the Brazilian cachaça could be experienced, known, understood, valued and approved. In 1989, the branch was opened in Barra da Tijuca, the most extensive, performed the "acquis" of 2,000 bottles of rum journalist mining Ulysses Vasconcelos, who together have more than 130 years of history of the drink of the Gods ( source site ).

Had tried to sit in the Academia da Cachaça located on the street Viscount Bernadotte, in Leblon. However, it was always full and when we got a table, do not really pleased, as it was in the middle row of the gallery where the restaurant is without charm.

With calmer, went to the Academia da Cachaça Barra da Tijuca. A simple and welcoming place. The sidewalk tables are airy, protected by several trees in a very quiet street with small-town atmosphere. On the inside are a few tables, but also very quiet. The ceiling is decorated with flags that make up the flag of Brazil and the decor is still composed of several bottles of rum that brighten the environment.

We were in the Academia da Cachaça Bar twice. At first we sat on the inside. We like a lot! The second time we were on the outside. We also like!

The service is very good. Fast, efficient and gentle. The food comes quickly after ordering. May come to the table in less than 10 minutes. What we called a lot of attention is the affection that the Academy has with its customers. Once you sit, are offering - on the house - a small dose of rum with honey delicious. The first time we went to was at Easter and also offered us wonderful chocolates.

The feijoada is served all day. Both times we went to ask and surpeendemos. Really wonderful. In many places here in Rio de Janeiro the beans are served with prepared ingredients separately, which, in our opinion, is not so good as that feijoada is prepared with the ingredients together. And there the feijoada is served in a clay bowl has it all together. Rib, sausage, jerky and sausage. Ingredients for a noble noble feijoada!

The side dishes are also delicious. Fresh rice, collard greens with bits of bacon, pork rinds, orange and crumbly. All too perfect.

There's no denying that the feijoada Academia da Cachaça is one of the best of Rio de Janeiro, but the best. And look who already ran the river behind feijoada and in our opinion, is even better than that served at Casa da Feijoada in Ipanema ( see post here ). Even better, the price is super account. A feijoada, which provides for two people to eat abundantly, comes at a price of approximately $ 50.00.

In addition to feijoada, the Academia da Cachaça is also notable for escondidinho, also considered one of the best in Rio de Janeiro and other foods. Besides, of course, the huge amount of options cachaça. The beer is super nice too. Creamy, cold and tasty. What, say by the way, is rare here in Rio de Janeiro.

Bar 399 is the right place for those looking for a bar with beautiful people, cool, good service, bottled beer at a strategic point of Barra da Tijuca.

Opened in October 2009, the Three Nine Nine was signed as a reference bohemian Barra da Tijuca, so devoid of cool bars that style. With plenty of tables spread out on the porch and the sidewalk from the bar, right under a big tree, the climate is of total relaxation.

With multiple TVs, Bar 399 is great for watching football games. In Sunday's game was going Gremio and Flamengo in a mood very calm and friendly. The table where we sat, I could watch the game for at least two televisions. Is there an image that confirms what has been said, and gremistas Flamengo in harmony and without any stress.

The public is very good. It is a bar with beautiful people, cool and interactive. For those looking, it is quite common to find the famous Bar 399.

Located on Avenida Erico Verissimo, Bráz Pizzeria is a masterpiece of pizza. With a very large, very high-ceilinged, with decor that brings us back to the origins of Italian immigration and excellent customer service, the Bráz is really a must for those seeking a family program and not give up quality.

Admittedly, on pizza, Sao Paulo is well ahead of the Rio de Janeiro. In our opinion, often around here, the pizzas are very thin, stuffed with inadequate and poorly thought out. Almost dull, so to speak! To date, the only exceptions that we had the opportunity to know are (besides Bráz): Don Pascual's Pizza (see here and here) , which is also excellent and Pizza Nostra (see here ), but not so good compared to these two.

With roots in Sao Paulo, Braz is a traditional and well known pizzeria. It has three branches in Sao Paulo, Campinas and in a second here in Rio de Janeiro. What we have here in Rio was the bar, but it has another branch in the Botanical Gardens (Rua Maria Angelica, 129).

Very different from most of the pizzas to the river in Bráz faced with a thick crust pizza (but just right), great ingredients, different flavors and options - the best - simply delicious!

The place is also very good! The service is very professional, friendly and efficient.

Well, you came to see that we are very pleased to be there, right! We really have to complain about. We've been twice and always left very happy. We love it when we come into a place and realize that the establishment is a "playground" of their owners, but a serious and professional company. At least that was the impression that Bráz passed.

Anyway, with white tiled walls, exposed brick on the bottom of the pizza, place a large and very high ceilings, wooden shelves which support beverages and condiments, a beautiful place and great service requires us to indicate the pizza for all Bráz readers who follow us and do not want to err in choosing the best pizzeria in Rio de Janeiro to go with family and / or friends.

Once More Sushi Japanese restaurant, opened in Recreio, about 1 year and a half, we made ​​a visit there and even posted here in the MBR ( see here ). At that time we'd had an excellent impression of the place. Great service and the best, amazing food!

Some little things we were not satisfied as the lack of bright light and music. Neither said anything in the post about the light, however, regarding the lack of music was promptly answered our complaint after our trip.

It turns out that since there had not returned and, fortunately, we were pleased to get back in those days. Face as we liked the evolution of more Sushi! A climate much cooler due to the red lights of the luminaries who gave a typical Japanese climate infinitely better than it was before.

The exterior of the restaurant was covered and there is now a placeholder for children with some toys. He was so nice outside that it was there that we decided to sit.

The service is still sublime. Care to serve some entries so you sit at the table without even asking, gives a wonderful feeling that you are well liked there. The food is still wonderful as ever, and the presentation could improve a little, at least for the rotation, as for a la carte presentation is careful.

The lack of music was masterfully resolved. In addition to having speakers placed the volume and quality of the tunes are there to fit!

In summary, by far the best Sushi is the Japanese restaurant of the Recreation and perhaps one of the best Japanese restaurants in Rio de Janeiro.

La Pizza Nostra is a pizzeria in Playground, small, well-kept simple in that the major concern is the quality and taste of pizza than anything else. Controlled closely by Italian Paolo Pitzalis, who began his career as a pizza maker in 1994 in Sardinia (Italy), working from a cottage industry with products from the region.

In 1998, Paolo opened a new pizzeria and restaurant called Sapore di Mare, also in Sardinia. Already in 2004, began its work here in Rio de Janeiro, thus appearing to La Pizza Nostra, a true Italian pizzeria, where you use quality ingredients to produce their pizzas, the same ingredients used in their pizzerias in Italy (source website La Pizza Nostra).

've Asked some time ago, almost every Sunday, pizzas Pizzeria La Pizza Nostra. Once in service, we realized that this was an artisan pizzeria, carefully and with a twist, since the very Paolo was the one who answered the phone with your Jeitão practical and unmistakably Italian.

After a long time in relishing the pizza there in the comfort of our home, we decided to meet them in person. As stated above, a simple place, without much luxury with the charm of being able to closely monitor pizzaoilos, literally, with their hands dirty. The wood stove is located at the bottom of the pizza, and it was right there close that we decided to sit. The service is fast, attentive and efficient.

We fungi half a pizza (traditional Italian tomato sauce, mozzarella and sliced ​​mushrooms) and half Ortolani (traditional Italian tomato sauce, mozzarella, eggplant, zucchini and arugula). Both delightfully clean. Tasty, no hype, just right ingredients and enviable quality. The thin crust and light completes the excellent pizza we had the pleasure to taste .. Finally, we asked a banana calzone, we decided to take home and finish our Italian feast there. By the way, just wonderful.

The only observation to be made was in relation to our dessert. Initially we had decided on a sweet pizza. Once we ordered, we asked the waiter if he could, instead of pizza, is served in a calzone. He said yes and not alerted us to the fact that calzone is slightly more expensive. On the menu there is no such information clearly. Only that "all pizzas can be ordered in the form of calzone." When the bill reached the value of the difference was there.

The street count of Bernadote always saves us when we get tired of seeking legal bars in Leblon and only faced with crowded places or no place to stop the car. There is a small corner for people who enjoy a varied choice of cool places (one after the other), vague usually easy to park the car and the main, very nice people and beautiful.

Already posted here, including on the Contempt and Route 66 , both right next to the Informal Pub.

This time was no different. We left the house eager to find a place that still had not driven in Leblon, we run a lot and we always beat the bad luck to the front with a well-filled and no tables available. Hence we decided to retreat to our savior, ie, the Earl of Bernadote Street.

Once there, we went straight to the Informal Pub. The space is good, nicely decorated, with no excesses and achonchegante. We prefer to sit inside the restaurant, but I confess that I got a sneaking envy of people who were sitting on the sidewalk.

The service is fast and efficient. We start a course and a pint of Black Brahma. They arrived quickly, and the best ice cream, well taken. The Black Brahma beer no comments so good. But the highlight is the beer of course, also of Brahma, because lately the only place where we risk is to ask it in Informal Pub. For us the only place where it is still worth asking a Brahma beer in Rio de Janeiro.

After killing the will of our beer and we also wanted to see if the beer there was still good - as always - we ask our inseparable beer bottle.

Asked to eat a mixed grill (excellent and very well served) and a steak with onions in Madeira sauce that accompanies rolls. We were three people and very hungry and we asked was more than enough.

We were in the restaurant at the invitation of Terra Brasilis Kekanto staff ( see here ), a great site for review bars, restaurants, hotels etc.. Every month they do an event to bring together the users and this were present, besides the personal Blog Vatel and Restaurantesdorio .

Terra Brazil is in a prime location. Well the red beach, overlooking the sea and the Sugar-loaf. Probably one of the most beautiful views, provided by a restaurant in Rio de Janeiro.

We sat on the outside of Terra Brasilis, super nice by the way, and we bottled beer. They were very cold. Input, a delicious white pizza to follow.

Enjoying the cold winter weather, a spectacular full moon, a sight beyond wonderful and the live music that plays there, could not resist and experience the fondue (cheese and chocolate). An excellent choice in a place so nice and so cool companies.

Finally, we tried to eat meat that is served to be completed on the hot stone with salt (only now that I learned it was fondue ). However, for some reason we do not know, did not work very well. When not stuck was too salty. The manager explained that it did not work, perhaps because the stone is too hot, but it generally works very well. If someone has already eaten and had better luck than us, do not forget to comment down there, okay?

The attendance of the Restaurant Terra Brasilis was excellent, especially from the manager who is very attentive. With all this, we had a great evening with nice people in a wonderful place and a beautiful full moon that only made ​​us have a great impression of the Earth Brazil and a strong desire to return once more.
